One day per week I fast by not eating any solids, so that my digestive systems gets a little break. Instead I have juices or smoothies. I prefer to make the smoothies with my homemade coconut milk yogurt. This particular smoothie is potently healthy as well as super delicious.
Avocado is one of the most acclaimed brain foods with benefit of helping to prevent Alzheimer Disease; Paw Paw/Papaya contains Papain a proteolitic enzyme which breaks down inert proteins (parasites) and replenishes good intestinal bacteria. The coconut milk yogurt aids in digestion as well as replenishes good bacteria.
Avocado & Paw Paw Smoothie
Serves 2
1 cup paw paw – deseeded and peeled
1 cup avocado flesh
1 cup green apple – peeled and cored
½ lemon – juice
1 cup coconut milk yogurt/dairy yogurt
½ cup orange or apple juice or water
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
